Major items exported to the EU (%)
The EU is Vietnam’s third largest agricultural export market with annual turnover about USD 5.5 billion, accounting for 15% of Vietnam’s total agricultural export value but only 4% of the EU’s agri-import value in 2021.
Domestic agricultural statistics
According to the General Statistics Office, the country’s agricultural by-products total around 156.8 million tons. This includes 88.9 million tons of crop residue and 61.4 million tons of animal manure from the livestock industry.
